Electrochemical energy storage of the 21st century is similarly poised for a transition from the old to the new.
The theoretical basis of our study is that for balancing electricity load, the grid companies have two basic solutions: V2G or electrochemical energy storage. This is critical in evaluating the economics of V2G technology for large-scale deployment in cities, given that the cost of electrochemical energy storage is rapidly declining.
